How much data can I put on my disc?
CD - A standard CD has a capacity of 700mb of data or 80minutes of audio. If your content is greater then you may need to produce multiple sets of CDs or have them remastered onto a DVD and use our DVD duplication service.
DVD - A standard DVD has a capacity of 4.7GB of data or 120 minutes of video. If your content is greater than this you will need to consider multiple DVD discs, a higher capacity dual layer DVD format DVD-DL or a Blu-ray disc.
Blu-ray - A standard Blu-ray disc (BD) has a capacity of 25GB of data or 120 minutes of HD video. If your content is greater than this you will need to consider multiple Blu-ray discs (BD) or a higher capacity format such as the 50GB dual layer Blu-ray disc (BD DL).

OK, my master CD(s) is ready, what happens next?
Send it to us and we will check your master using our disc analyser and take an extra master copy for our file. It may be worth keeping a copy yourself in case you need to access the content whilst your discs are in production. If you need to add any last minute files our technical team can do that for you and produce a new master.

How many copies should I order?
It may make sense to add a few extra just in case you need them later, especially if you need more than 1000 as there is very little cost difference between increments when using CD replication.

When will my CDs be ready?
Less than 100 - are often turned around same day
Up to 500 - can usually be duplicated in 48 hours from receipt of master and artwork.
Over 500 - higher quantities will be replicated in around 10 days.

What is the difference between Duplication and Replication?
Replication (or pressing) is where your data is physically pressed into the polycarbonate during the disc manufacturing process and Duplication (or burning) is where your data is written to blank recordable discs using a duplicator with high speed CD/DVD/Blu-ray writers, similar to those found in your PC. CD Duplication is suitable for quantities under 500 and can be turned around very quickly. CD replication is the most cost-effective method for runs of 1,000 upwards and takes around 10 days to produce.
